Thread: Looking for info on my Vega 2 point mandolin

Default Looking for info on my Vega 2 point mandolin

Not looking to sell, I love it.. Trying to get some info, as it is arched top and back (not cylinder back) and has F holes- I'm guessing 1930's, but can't find much info that matches it. Any help is appreciated. Have Googled forever, and had a couple friends trying to help, but it seems to be a little off the beaten path.

It has bar frets, some repairs- but in remarkable shape.. A lovely gift from one of my sons.. serial 38406 on the top edge of headstock. No clue as to the dollar value, but it isn't going anywhere anyway. Still.. lol

I think 1930s is a good guess- engraved Waverly tuning plates etc. I think that makes good sense. Others may know something about the label and when it was in use.
