Strap button location

Where are you putting your strap button on a two point mandolin? I'm thinking on the back/heel? I'm not sure that it would do well on or around the point.

On A models and 2 points, I put it on the backside into the neck block (not the heel). Strap is completely out of the way and the instrument balances nicely.

I'm with Dale 100%. Perhaps it's my gut but instruments always want to twist away from me when the button is on the heel.

I almost never use a strap and when I do I go around the headstock. But on an electric, if it is heavy, I would consider Dale's suggestion.
