Thread: Capo 7 on Tenor Guitar = Giant Mandolin?

Default Capo 7 on Tenor Guitar = Giant Mandolin?

I've been using this for a while when I play with other instruments (usually guitars). Tune the tenor guitar to traditional CGDA and then capo on the 7th fret. It brings it to GDAE and really sits nice with the guitars/piano. Basically first position type chords, but it is a lot of fun and loud (Epiphone archtop).

Has anyone else ever tried this?

@gretschbigsby fretboard width is sometimes a factor.
