    It's fine to play and sounds better than expected but there is not much bass and somewhat lower volume, but fine for a pocket mandolin for practice although I did buy another mandolin for car use, as I felt it would be a shame to put this one in the car. :-)

    Congratulations on obtaining a very appropriate tailpiece for it. My Holdrio Picolo mandolin is very similar, although it has a marquetry scratch plate with a Middle Eastern motif, and a Marcelli tailpiece not too dissimilar to yours.

    I didn't find it. I already had this where the bottom part is exactly as the original but the top too big. I then sawed and dremmelled the new shape and heated it up to glowing, to remove the chrome shine.

    Be careful heating chrome to remove it. You can form some very nasty chemicals
