    Default Definitive DPA mount

Tired of the standard mount problems, duck tape, double-stick tape, and all those things... I made the perfect mount myself!!!
    How cool it is, amigos?

Soldered on? Definitely not going anywhere.

Sorry but, I'm not sure what we're looking at, especially as I'm hardly knowledgeable about pickup attachments.

Best guess is a magnet soldered (or glued?) on to the tailpiece cover, and the magnet holds the base of the pickup connector. Great if it works well, but downside would be ruining an otherwise-nice tailpiece cover, and the risk of the soldering (heat!) demagnetizing the, ya know, magnet. (I could easily be wrong about that - done lots of soldering but none on magnets!)

Or I'm just (obviously!) confused ...

The black part on the picture is a part of dpa‘s accordion mounting foot. Thr metal sleeve that seems to be soldered onto the tailpiece looks like a homemade contraption to slide the foot into. No magnetism was hurt in producing this rig.
    Good job…

It's completely removable. Right, the foot slides into the piece attached to the tailpiece cover. The piece is glued with Pattex Xtreme and the glue is painted with silver marker. These pics will help to see the thing: the original DPA clip, the foot without the clip, and the foot sliding into the piece.
