I would also suggest you expand your search to include the TRAVOLIN by SILVER LEAF MANDOLINS. I have owned both of those you mentioned as well as the TRAVOLIN I purchased for various trips around Europe. The Travolin played as well and sounded comparatively to both you mentioned while being the most durable of the three, easily able to take on what ever abuse travel subjects it to.
