    Default Help identifying banjo/mandolin instrument

Hi everyone. I have recently came across a banjo/mandolin style instrument and I am hoping to get some help with identifying the possible manufacturer or maker as well as possible value. The instrument is about 24 inches long and has 8 tuning pegs. There is an inscription that says "patent applied for" at the bottom of the body. Any help would be much appreciated! -Ryan

Are you using the "insert image" icon, 3rd from the right at the top of your "reply" window?

LATER: here's a current thread offering a video tutorial on the process.
