Question Case for big pot banjo mandolin

Hi, I recently purchased a 1940 Kay Master banjo mandolin. Needless to say the case was not in good shape. Looking for a replacement--- gig bag, hard case preferred.
    The dimensions are:
    Length: 26.5"
    Diameter: 13.5"
    Height: 3.5"
    Head stock max diameter: 4.5"
    Neck: 12.5"
    Any thoughts or insights appreciated.

Question Re: Case for big pot banjo mandolin

There were cases for resonator( Big piece that goes on the back with a ring around it ) banjo

you will be searching for a case made in the 20's , when a fair number of banjo mandolins were made..

you might seek out someone to rebuild what you have,,

Or a regular banjo case or gig bag & just have extra space where the long neck is not.

Check out Gold Tone instrument cases and see if there's one that'll fit. I found their plectrum banjo case fits a long-neck "Pete Seeger" 5-string with a resonator. Gold Tone makes mandolin and ukulele banjos, and one of their cases might work.

I'm a satisfied Gold Tone customer, instruments, cases, and gig bags. They sell "niche" instruments and cases for them.

I'd also recommend contacting Gold Tone for this. I have a Gold Tone CEB-5 14" diameter x 27" length cello banjo that came with an appropriately sized hard shell logo case from Gold Tone. So I would not be surprised if Gold Tone actually had a case of the right length available for the OP's mandolin banjo.

Musicians Friend puts these on sale fairly often. They were offered for $49.99 recently. I bought two. They are decent. It is too long but would accommodate the big body.

There are several posts on the Café about case overhauls.

Thanks for the referral Steve. Sounds like his hinges are on their last legs, which is a step up from mine.... no hinges.

Some excellent thoughts. You folks are giving me some good food for thought after I exhausted my known regional resources.

And here I thought that you were going to make a case for playing a big pot banjo mandolin! You want a case to carry it in... I'm disappointed.
