I finally got the mandolin of my dreams and within my budget; An Eastman 615. At first I didn't like the sound but it has really improved and opened up as I have played. I love the flame Maple and the overall quality of the instrument. It was set up by the seller but the action was way too high for me so I lowered the bridge and will get the nut lowered right away (I can hardly play on the first fret especially the E string). I worked on the tuners too and they work quite well. So, my love has grown and I am happy. However..

I hate the case! Yes it is roomy and nice but I hate the magnetic clasps and the lock seems really dumb to me. I liked my cross rock tweed much better even though it has very small storage.

Do you have any suggestions? Does anyone have one with a more traditional closure they want to trade for this new fangled one?As always, I appreciate the collective wisdom of all the members here and TIA Click image for larger version.
