    Default Greek/Cretan mandolin tuition

I wonder if anyone knows of any tutors who offer online lessons in English for Greek/Cretan music, or European folk more broadly. Thanks.

Not sure if you only mean for mandolin, and if you are interested in Cretan music you are probably aware of Labyrinth , based in Houdetsi, Crete, who are now doing a lot of online courses. I must admit that none of the current selection is of much interest to me, but keep your eye on what they have to offer. I did go to a course there in 2019, and they are offering a small number of in-person courses in Crete this summer.

Thanks Dagger. Yes, I'm looking for beginner mandolin - am teaching myself (already play tenor banjo but in cgda) but really love the modal sounds in Cretan music. I wonder if there is teacher who is interested in 'world music' sounds out there!

Well if you find someone who teaches Cretan mandolin give me a shout.

There are quite a few threads on Cretan mandolin here. Dunno if you've seen them.

Thanks, Dagger. Now I know where to go for lyra lessons (Ross Daly, a name I recognize)as well as multiple genres of fiddle—excellent!
