Default The New South (Almost Complete)

I can't be the only one that always wanted to see this in it's entirety.
I may have missed it, but I had always only found this precious footage as cut-outs and edits.
Even this is missing "Beaumont Rag" which can also be found on Youtube.

J.D.'s last break on "Nine Pound Hammer" reminds you why the band bears his name.

    Some comments from Youtube:

"Jerry Douglas 19, Ricky Skaggs 21, Tony Rice 24"

"In 1975 these talented young men drew a bluegrass line in the musical sand, and here in 2019 no tsunami has ever been able to erase it."

"It would be awfully easy to proclaim this line-up as the greatest Bluegrass band of all time."

But Amsterdam was always good for grieving
And London never fails to leave me blue
And Paris never was my kinda town
So I walked around with the Ft. Worth Blues

That is a GREAT classic! Does anyone have any video footage/ any audio of the New South in about 81 when my Uncle Gene Johnson played mandolin with JD? Keith Whitley was also in that lineup. I have a live recording from a festival in Georgia that is killer! My Uncle never recorded any studio records with JD+NS so I'd like to get some more festival recordings as its awesome stuff.

Obviously, that has been aired several times on KET here in Kentucky. Those were the days of the Red Slipper in Lexington. I was still in Virginia then and never got to see them play there.

What a great video! Train 45 at the end is pure JD.
