    Default Mystery Mandolin 1960s US Made

    My best guess is that this was from United of New Jersey and it has Stradolinesque F holes. The hardware is American with those Waverly tuners and cloud tailpiece. Clearly, not an expensive mandolin- but block inlays- probably painted on! Wow! The seller is not dreaming with his price and it looks okay at a quick glance with a nice faux finish to enhance it!

    Looks like a Stella. Same type of coloring and wild flame as the acoustics.

    Actually the Harmony built Stella's weren't as rough as this one, Nick is right. I'd say it's United built in New Jersey.
