    Default Bridge Question!!!!

    Hi,

Looking for a bridge for an F4.

    This says minimum adjustment 7/8"

    https://www.stewmac.com/parts-and-ha...ndolin-bridge/

Ruler on frets side of the bridge on my mando = bridge height 23/32" between G strings and between E strings.

If I were in your shoes I'd just contact Cumberland Acoustic and talk to Steve.

I believe they measure the height the same way you are in the photo, but I'm sure that Randy Wood bridge could be made to work if you're comfortable doing the work. Fitting it to the top will remove some height, and it looks like you could also remove some material from the bottom of the saddle if necessary.

Great tip. Looks like they'd make exactly the right thing. Would an F4 bridge have a gap at the bottom or full contact?

    Thanks,
    Bazz.

That might depend on the year. Go out to the Mandolin Archive and search for F4's with images.
