    I love David M.'s playing, the way he sticks to the bluegrass straight-and-narrow. And there can't be many Loars as good as his.

    Folks, that is why I became interested in Bluegrass and mandolin!
    It’s the “learning” as much as the “doing”. Watching really amazing musicians do exactly the same “Where do you want me to do what?” band protocols?
    I’d have to say, for the most part, it’s pretty much just like the way band practice that “My” band used to! Too bad we didn’t do that more!

    The tone that David M pulls from that Loar is unbelievable.

    So clean, and nothing fancy, just solid Monroe licks mostly in first position, at least in the ones I’ve watched. Makes it look so easy. Love it.
