    Default Rubner A style tuners?

How hard is it to change the buttons on them? There is a set I like but it has ebony buttons and I don't want ebony buttons. Thanks!

I'm assuming it can be done because someone here a few years back mentioned the size of the screws but I have no idea as to what size or shape the button post is and what types of buttons might be available to switch to.

I may have to just email them and ask. I would make my own button. I am thinking I want to use some Cherry I have. I’m still in the idea phase of this though. Thanks!

It was easier to find than I thought it would be.

I would pay close attention to Mr. Harris’ post comment about requesting “no glue” if special ordering. I broke off a screw on an F5 set I was trying to repair and another set I sold in new condition was returned with a button screw sheared off, claiming shipping damage…right….button swapper. I suspect they’re all glued. Maybe heating the screw head until the glue burns off might work, but they are really, really small, and look like brass.

Since Rubner is now selling their new improved A tuners, I doubt you can special order the previous style.
