    Default O.M.'s

Much to my chagrin, it took me almost 1 year of membership here to realize that O.M. was not Orchestra Model, as in guitars.
I humbly submit myself to any corrective measures called for.

Living in Chicago should be punishment enough.

Every niche has its own jargon and sometimes the same word means different things in different places. Sometimes the same thing gets called different things. don't think you have anything to be ashamed of. Though if you feel the need to do penance, you could get an OM.

I did the same thing when I stumbled onto the 8 string world And I wholly agree with Nevin! Of course, I'm a low end lover myself and, even though I don't do them justice, the silky OM tone makes me smile every time

We sit here cross-legged eating brown rice and cheese
and we chant out our mantra in four-square harmony.
We don't sing of salvation, or a heavenly home.
It's Zen gospel singing, just OM, OM, sweet OM.

The only penance you must do now is learn the proper term for the unique sound of an OM as used here on the Cafe, and that's "chorrnng."

Actually I'm not sure I spelled that right, is it one or two n's? Might have to do some penance myself...
