    Default Goodbye Sugar Hello Fiber

Gibson is either a victim of logo & copyright infringement or they're trying out a new marketing strategy in China. I'd suggest either scenario would benefit them more than having their contract attorneys sending threatening letters to small, individual mandolin builders or directly threatening the Mandolin Cafe, neither of which that I can tell did them any good. The latter happened quite some time back. It was amusing, mildly entertaining. That's all you'll hear about it. Wasn't news then, isn't now.

Man, a soft drink with fiber! Or is it Kool-Aid? I'm all about healthy choices. Maybe they should send some of this down to the factory in Nashville.

    Gobson?

[Middle English gobbe, probably from Old French gobe, mouthful, from gober, to gulp, of Celtic origin.]

Maybe more fiber in their diet at Gibson would help their attitude.

And mandolins left out of the campaign, again.

Guess they figure we get enough fiber...

They not only make soft drinks. My Les Paul was made in one of their factories, and my Rolex watch as well.

This product is readily available for purchase online and appears on a lot of websites just in case anyone is thinking I Photoshopped this. I’m out and about right now but once I get home will post links to some of those pages. Or someone else can. Not difficult to find by doing a reverse Google image search.

I suspect this might be a Gibson licensed use of the brand name. There are a slew of those products out there and if they'd file a law suit over someone using a flower pot inlay I can't imagine this would fly under their radar.

I've had chats with two sources that should know with deep business ties inside China and they say it's a legit, Gibson authorized product. I have no problem with this, for the record. They can make their money however they wish and engage in whatever marketing they find of value.

Not a totally original marketing strategy, but... interesting...

Somehow I can't picture the Archies singing "Fiber, fiber."

Looks like "Gibsun" to me. As in putting a sunny disposish on yer innards, perhaps? I don't see the connection. But then again, I believe that rock mandolin is going to be the Next Big Thing. So what do I know about the public's tastes?
