Looking for opinions on this Stradolin mandolin. Is it a solid wood mandolin? The bridge will need replacing.
What year was it made? 50's?
Thank you for your time.

I tried adding the photos, but keep getting an error message. Oh well. I can email the photos to you if you want me to? Thank you!

I tried that, but keeps giving me an invalid file message.
Thank you your response.

Mike thank you for your help. Going to try and add the other photos.
The finish has been stripped off. Post some other pictures when you can of the headstock front and back as well as the back of the mandolin.

Someone made an interesting one piece bridge.
Old Hometown, Cabin Fever String Band
Actually some of the Strad's came with a similar bridge but I never saw one with an insert like that. And of course, after looking at every picture in the Strad-O-Lin social group I can't find an example of that one piece bridge design but I did find one with the other one piece design I owned.

And the grain on that top. My mid-50s Strad, inexpensive descendant that it is, at least has a more usual cut, and solid wood. Did they go plywood at some point?
The other side of the coin is that this may not be a Strad-O-Lin genre mandolin. Need to see the headstock and the back.

Headstock looks a little rough.
OK, it's a Strad and that bridge wasn't anywhere near a competent luthier in its life
I'd question the nut as well. If you're buying this don't pay a premium for it.

My thoughts too. I am going to pass on it. Too rough when better examples are available. Thank you for your time.
