    Default Monroe Mandolin Camp 2021

Wanted to send a quick shout out and a big thank you to Mike Compton and Heidi Herzog for yet another amazing Monroe Mandolin Camp this past week and weekend. So great to pick with friends old and new, learn from the masters, and enjoy time with such a wonderful community of people celebrating Mr. Monroe's legacy.

The visit by Norman and Nancy Blake on Saturday was one of those "once in a lifetime" experiences I will never forget. So cool!

It was an absolute blast! And I finally got to pick with the famous Don Grieser.

Hope to make it back next year!

So sorry I was unable to attend this year. If anyone cares to share some of their highlights from 2021 MMC I'll be happy to read about them.

Shaun, our Heiden jam was epic. So great to hear my Heiden from the listener side and to play your legendary Heiden. You can rip on those Monroe tunes.

That was a highlight of camp for me! So glad we were finally able to meet in person and share some music. Throw in two exceptional Heiden A5s and damn….looking forward to next time!

I also wanted to give a shout out to Heidi and the Monroe Gang.
    They had an excellent event.
Instructors, classes, jams, cooks and pit masters and visit from the Blakes. Top shelf stuff.
FYI, the camp makes welcome beginners, like me.

Best camp ever. But I've said that 7 years in a row now.

Among all the terrific classes and other events at the MMC this year, it was great to see and pick with Don and Dan and so many other old friends again and to meet Shaun and so many other new friends. Thanks to Heidi Herzog and Mike Compton for a wonderful camp!
