Thread: Northfield F style strap

    Default Northfield F style strap

I am wondering if anyone is using their strap and has any feedback. I've searched for reviews and came up short. Currently using a Lakota that has been awesome but is getting a little stretched after quite a long bit of use.

I use one & like it. I've only been playing it a few months & I don't think the prior owner used it much if at all so it's still pretty new. I looked at getting another one to use with my Weber but found one of straps I already have works well.

I have one and like it. It came with my Northfield Big Mon that I purchased used off of Reverb. The Big Mon is great too!

I picked up my strap from Ronnie Harrison who makes these for Northfield so it is identical minus their logo. I really like it. The workmanship is very good and I like the width on my shoulder. Since I ordered mine I was able to specify the length so I asked for the longest adjustment hole to fit comfortably with a big winter coat on but I typically use the middle hole.

Does Ronnie Harrison just operate off of Facebook? Can't seem to find a website...

Got one for my F5S. It's high quality work and I like it. Also comfortable.

Yes, the Lakota can stretch. I have a custom round one that I had on a different instrument. The round braid is much less comfortable to my shoulder. But I'm too picky when it comes to things like that.

I have one and like it alot. What are you wondering about specifically…it doesn’t stretch since its a piece of hard leather but there are hole and they might stretch a bit over time.

Mainly is is comfortable and well made? Is it made more for over right shoulder (like Bill Monroe) or left (like Sam Bush). Seems like it isn't going to stretch which is good.

I wear mine over the left shoulder. Habit from guitar playing days. And yes, it is both comfortable and well made although the leather is slightly stiff new. Being thicker leather that's just the way they start out.

I believe so, that is how I got ahold of him. I recall there was a decent wait for a custom made strap with your name etc. on it but he happened to have this one plain that just needed holes so I went that route for a quick turnaround.
