Beautiful!! And a very nice voice!
Graham:
Wow! I am a sucker for nearly all things Deco, and that is really beautiful. Great choice of wood as well; the clarity of the sound is wonderful.
I wish I were still traveling to Australia for work (although in these Covid times, I guess I wouldn't be ); I would love to see it in person.
Thanks!

Graham, that mandolin is a work of art and it sounds great.
I definitely meant it in a complimentary way, Graham!
Wow!
Graham said "The second of the Jimmy D'Aquisto inspired mandolins, This one of Sitka and Tasmanian Blackheart sassafras."
Hi Graham,
Could you post some info on the first of your Jimmy D'A inspired mandolins please? Your second worked out brilliantly, sounds fantastic and would love to play it.
Thanks,

Oh my, that Tasmanian Blackheart sassafras is amazing. And the art deco aesthetic is really something. Looks and sounds lovely!
Hello Len
I thought I had posted some pics of the first one, but I can't see them here anywhere. Here are some pics and the mandolin recorded by a friend of mine, Tony Hunter, one of a few people around town to I ask to put new instruments through their paces. He seemed to like it and the next person to play it refused to give it back, so I had to sell it to him. Because we have been in Covid lockdown for six weeks I haven't been able to show the new one around to the local players. This first one is sitka spruce and big-leaf maple.
Cheers

Oh my, that is gorgeous as well. I'll take one with an abbreviated ebony finger rest that mirrors the "deco' line of the treble contour. Oh sorry, I see it's already sold. Your sense of design and its final execution is simply stunning Graham. Kudos to Tony Hunter 's "pacing" of the mandolin as well.
Kind regards,
