At Carter's. We don't see very many of these.
Although the pictures would benefit from more light, it looks to be mostly there except for the original removeable bridge saddles.

There are 3 F4s at Carters currently.
As well as the blonde, they have a 1935 model, and a beautifully refinished blacktop for $3250 - a great player's price and stunning looking too!
...And this beautiful, affordable F4 is sold. I was nearly ready to tie myself to my chair to keep from buying it.
I've got a nice F5 and a beautiful F2 to play. I just have to keep telling myself, "I don't need an F4."
Why is that so difficult?
The problem with F-4's is that if you get a blonde, you have to get a redhead and a brunette to keep her company.
I'm kind of surprised she's still there. Maybe she doesn't want to leave by herself.

P.S. Upon closer inspection, perhaps it does have the original saddles, but the pictures are too dark to tell for sure. Carter needs to invest in some better lights.

I was thinking something similar: "I've got an F-4 and an A-4. That's enough. Isn't it? Isn't it?"
It is. Or should be. Owning is supposed to keep one from desiring. But MAS is danged persistent!
Oh, geez .. just when I thought I'd talked myself into being satisfied ...

Here's a lesson learned that is tangential to this thread. Perhaps this is why blonde top Gibson ovals are kind of rare...
If anyone asks you builders for a blonde top with a Gibson-style rosette, be sure to charge enough! The rosette has to fit it's cavity in the top within a gnats heel of perfection!
Maybe if one has a jig to make the rosettes to interchangeable standards and a CNC to route for the rosette it's no big deal, but to make the rosette by hand and cut the cavity to fit it by hand... well, lets just say the comfort of knowing there will be stain/color on the spruce can sure speed things up!
Finally got it ready to sand for finish.

Well, Gibson certainly had some kind of jig, but they didn't have no CNC . . . and Strad didn't have no belt sander . . .
And I'm working for minimum wage or less this week, re-doing the faulty restoration work of a famous guitar manufacturer's repair shop.
And I'm not Strad.
That's the way it goes.
Nice work, John.
