    Default Modern Instruments

I was checking out this 1995 Rice and Grisman performance and got to thinking after the commentator mentions that the Gibson design we all know and love as traditional, is really a 20th century idea, granted borrowed from violin bodies, as compared to the bowl back classical design which goes back quite a ways into early western civilization. Well I was born in the 20th century I guess I'll play 20th century instruments.
