KVSC in St Cloud Minn had an eclectic music program every Sat morning. Every once in a while Wayne would play Tyrrell's version of "Blue Green Bangle". I have always loved that particular version.........
His 4 string dola/tenor/zook was one of the inspirations for an instrument I had made.

I had the privilege of seeing Sean and Paddy Keenan on a rainy night in Oregon over 20 years ago. Still remember it was a magical night of music. Small venue, an intimate setting and was very intrigued by his four string playing. RIP
My absolutely favorite version of Mattie. Sean was right up there with Andy Irvine.
Yep, I love that his playing has a real drive, seems simple but has pull-offs, damping, repeating fifths... the lot!
His version of the song Mattie is a classic, reminds me of some Cajun rhythms as does his use of defiant, frank poetry, and his love of the Irish language and theatre.
