    Well, it's not for me, but I must say, the builder sure put a lot of time and effort into the decorative woodwork on the back and binding.

    Probably not - whilst there is a mandolin variant, they usually have metal bodies.

    Even cooler is the case not shown in the eBay listing but downloadable in the description. Try to find one of those to fit this beauty...

    A shape like that could also replace having to use a strap - and these things are heavy! Why not?
    On my smallish device, almost missed the marquetry gems on the sides (see listing); this amazing piece must be connected with a very good story.
