    Default Acoustic Disc Podcasts

Have not seen much discussion of the podcasts on David Grisman’s Acoustic Disc website in recent months. They launched back at the start of the year and there are now ten of them. They usually last between 40 - 60 minutes and contain a lot of great music and discussion.

Well worth checking out if you are not aware of them

    Regards,

The current podcast offering (#10) is all about the creation of "The Kitchen Tapes"... i.e. the amazing duet recordings of Red Allen and Frank Wakefield which were the precursor to a most important album known as "Red Allen, Frank Wakefield and The Kentuckians" which was produced by a young David Grisman for Folkways Records.

This podcast is a MUST listen for anyone interested in Bluegrass history and fantastic mandolin playing by a natural, bona-fide genius - Frank Wakefield.
