    Default Kentucky km 256 ?

Two years back I got a great deal on a KM 256 so I snapped it up.
Unfortunately the sound was nowhere near as warm and full as my 8 year old ( ?) KM150 so I returned it ...reluctantly .
    I'm wondering if perhaps I just got a bad KM 256 ??

Has anyone had an opportunity to A-B these two models . Thoughts ...experience ??? Thanks .

I may be about to choose either a Kentucky 150 or a 250, so I'm interested in that. As I understand it, the only 'official' differences now are that the 250 might have fancier looking wood and finish and a radiused slightly wider fingerboard. However I read here that at one time, 150s were made in a different factory and sounded better than some more expensive Kentucky models. I wonder if the 250 has thicker finish, and that's the culprit? Some prefer the sound of the Eastman 304/305 against more expensive models, and put that down to thre fact it appears to have a thin finish.
