    Default Small archtop

I have been making a small tenor to order (Christmas delivery) it is not much bigger than a Baritone ukulele but will be strung CGDA in steel.
20.5” scale pine soundboard is from a 200 year old church pew, back is apple wood, sides olive wood the neck is cherry with mahogany centre strip.
I have just giving it a sealing coat, the neck is not glued as yet but hopefully get it finished in the next two weeks…

I really like what you're doing there & in what I always think of as a 'proper' body size too. Lovely

Thanks for the likes, the back has an interesting feature in the form of a piece of lead!
The wood is cut from near the centre of the apple tree so the bullet must of been there for many years and was completely hidden inside the tree.

A nice way to compensate for neck dive!

I've got a similar project going. Body is sinker Beech from Lake Superior and top is W. Red Cedar. Neck is Maple and Cherry.

I tried the guitar with nylon and steel, it seems to work perfectly with either with very little defection on the soundboard.
