    Default RIP Eddie Connors

I know there are a few members here that knew New Jersey mandolin player Eddie Connors. He has passed into eternity. He was my mandolin hero and a dear friend. He was leading the house band at Rac's Hut in Jackson New Jersey in the 50's as a teenager. Rac's was a stop on the country circuit. A place that the recording artists of the time would play a night to get gas money to continue touring. He played with most of the greats that didn't travel with a band of their own. It's been gone for years. Eddie married the owner's daughter and they have been together for longer than many of us have been alive. He was a lovely human being. He took this new guy under his wing and along the way I learned a few things from him. RIP Edward.
