Thread: Name that vintage mando! ABBM?

Default Name that vintage mando! ABBM?

I think I went six months without posting a what-did-I-just-buy thread on the forums. Hooray! Anyway, what did I just buy? I'm not even sure what letters I'm looking at. ABBM? I found one "ABBM" uke on Ebay, but I'm not sure whether that seller fell victim to the same cursive trickery. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Looks very similar to Sears Supertone mandolins I have seen usually made for them by Harmony. I also saw a page from Progressive Music catalog that appears in Bob Carlin’s Regal group and he attributes it to Regal. In any case it was probably made in Chicago for Abbm which might have been a music retailer. I would guess the “M” is for Music.

Ukuleles and "parlor" guitars labeled ABBm mentioned on the web. Only vague guesstimates about origin or vintage. No listing in the Mugwumps Index.
