    Default Strap recommendation for Octave

I need to get a strap for my Eastman octave mandolin. Any positive experiences? I would typically add a heel strap button but I’m not sure about the balance. Since it's guitar sized, would attaching to the headstock be a better choice?

I had an Eastman OM for a little while with a strap button on the heel & didn't have any problems with neck dive or balance.

I currently am just using a nylon guitar strap on my Weber Bitterroot with an end pin attachment and the other end tied to the head stock. But, I like a heel button and don’t think you’d have any major balance issues. While we have two different makers and there are differences, the scale lengths and basic dimensions are reasonably similar. I’ll eventually probably put a heel button on, just have to get to it…

I also use a heel strap button with no issues. I find the friction of a guitar strap on my shirt is enough to counter any inclination to moving around.

The heel works just fine on the Eastman OM.

Thanks for the comments, I will add a heel strap button.
