    Default Help identifying these tuners

I am pleased with the tuners on my Flatiron. Does anyone know what brand they are?

    Thanks! Happy holidays

    I believe those are Grovers.

Was wondering about your mandolin as in 1982 I thought Flatiron was still using the Sta-Tites or similar. From the shadow on your headstock, yours had an upgrade.

Yes, there is definitely a mark/impression of the original tuners. Thank you! I was thinking they were Grovers but wasn't sure.

    Why does it matter?

Because I could tell they weren't the original and was curious. Knowledge I guess
