    Nope.

I play "whatever", including classical, bluegrass, jazz (badly, working on it), rock, and whatever else I make up.

We'll have none of that finagling here! Strictly majority rule, please and thank you.

But yes, I imagine bluegrassers are the most major minority hereabouts, but not the majority. Isn't there a statistical term for that?

Ah: majority minority. There's a mouthful.

    Plurality.

I think of myself as mostly a bluegrasser. I play a good bit of folk, jam, rock, etc. but kind of in a bluegrass style a lot of the time. But I'm still early in my mandolin journey, so who knows if that will hold.

No. I like to listen to bluegrass and I play it occasionally, but I favor folk, hymns and gospel. Throw some country in there, as well.

Oops. Didn't have my reading glasses on and thought the OP asked "Are you ... a manly bluegrass player?"

I believe the answer is still "Yes."

I play mostly Irish tunes, though I am not averse to other styles of music and will gladly give them a go.

No, but I play music of the world and bluegrass is included in that category...

Of the six people that have been most involved in the operation of this site since inception including forum moderators, I'm the only one that has been in bluegrass bands but haven't considered myself anything remotely close to being a bluegrass player since the late 1980s. We're scattered amongst jazz, classical, celtic, folky/miscellaneous, church/praise, gypsy jazz, Brazilian, etc. So to the total you can add six more in the "no" category.

No, but perhaps if I eventually switch from an 'A' to and 'F' style instrument that will change

Was in the past but no longer. Too much good music out there. Although the common person might think it is bluegrass, those who know don't.
