I have a 2007 F5 (#124) that I think is pretty stellar but I haven’t played many high end mandolins other than an 84 Kentucky DAWG that I used to own several years ago.

My 2007 A model #122 rocks. When I bought it on consignment, I sent him an email and he responded quickly giving me the skinny on it.

Both mine are from 2008. I thought the A5 was good; until I bought the F.

Will’s early work was still pretty damn good. Make sure there’s a return policy and give it a go.

Living in Canada has a downside, pretty hard to return instruments without paying the premium of international shipping! Lol

If it helps your decision process, I also like in Canada (Halifax) and took the leap in July to purchase my 2007 Kimble F5. No regrets at all. I am very pleased with the decision. I have not seen many higher end mandolins for sale in Canada so you should be able to turn it over quickly if you are not satisfied with it.
