Default Pickup replacement options now that Almuse has retired?

I was sad to see that he retired in November due to health issues, hope all is well with him.

The site says he gave his pickup patterns to someone at Belvoir guitars, but said to contact them for commissioning a dream instrument. I just want to replace the pickup on a mandobird I recently acquired.

I liked this as a hb replacement of a lipstick p/u in a Kentucky 300. It sounds good, gives great options to your sound, and is relatively inexpensive. NFI

Pete and I developed a working relationship many years ago when his pickup business was in its infancy and he was gracious enough to provide me with the necessary info and tooling to wind pickups using his same methodology upon his retirement. I am going to start winding/experimenting over the next few weeks to create my own line of pickups. I would hope that I'd be able to offer them for sale beyond my own needs but I can't say if or when that would be. In the meantime, I'd recommend ryder or wildepickups as Dave mentioned.
