Default Gibson H2 mandola at Guitar Center

It says "A4 mandolin," but that's a mandola fretboard.

From this one lousy photo, can anyone say for sure whether it's refinished? Orangey sunburst looks awfully suspicious.

Judging from the buttons, it looks like the tuners might be Klusons. But I have a lousy monitor to go along with the poor photo quality.

It seems like a cheap price for an H2, but given the top repair, replaced hardware and possible refinish, it might be only a fair price. Could be an affordable way to get into a Gibson mandola if you're not concerned about originality.

It looks wrong to me, so I'd say it was refinished.

A cloud tailpiece? I haven't seen that before but I suppose it may be a replacement item for the original.

Most definitely a replacement. Gibson did use cloud tailpieces on some A Juniors and the earliest EM200s, but never, to my knowledge, on the H2 mandola.

To me, the finish does not appear to be original.
