    Default Karasik Mandolin Project

    Hi Everyone,

I have been made curator of Ely Karasik’s January 5 1923 Lora signed Gibson F-5 mandolin. I will be doing a weekly video series of people playing the mandolin. If you’re interested in this sort of thing follow the mandolins YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCY-...CmZvv-7ZxLA23A and the Mandolin’s facebook page.

It's a pity that the volume is so low, nothing wrong with my hearing but I struggling to hear this.

Thats a mighty fine toned and voiced Loar I think, if I already didn't have one with a Virzi I'd be all over that one! It's one that hasn't been in circulation so that's always neat! Mine was un-played its whole life, found in a pawn shop in the mid 90's and put up till I got her and I've sure opened that one up!

How cool! I just joined the DMO in March and have heard of Ely's skills and his mandolin. What a fun project. January 5th is my birthday too! Ha!
