    Default Case repair

I started planning this project in 2015, but delayed for a variety of reasons, including cold feet. Finally did it, thanks to encouragement of Loudloar and Bazz Jass.
The case came to me without top lining.

Yes, I know doing just the top is odd, but the bottom is still in fair to good condition and I think keeping as much of the original as possible is the way to go.
The fabric is not an exact match, but as near as I have found in an appropriate fabric. Not easy to find in stores or online. If I can’t live with it, I’ll redo bottom.
Not nearly as good a job as I hoped for and I made many mistakes that show, including clothespin clamp marks and wrinkles no mater what I did to try and spread fabric evenly.
I post to show it can be done by the amateur, but it is not a job for the faint hearted.

update - I found a better fabric after much (more) searching. If it is actually true to the photographic color swatch, I will redo whole project, slightly wiser in technique, and will post more appealing results when finished - probably early Feb. Otherwise, case is at least temporarily fully lined and I will keep searching for a fabric match. A hundred years have seen huge changes in fabrics.
