    Default MORtone instruments

Has anyone owned of these? I see them on Ebay sometimes. If so, how was it?

Big Mort does a lot of guitar conversions but I bought one of his original design "MORTocellos" a couple of years ago configured as an OM. The service, communication, pickups and build quality were all great, and I think even new his modest prices make them real bargains. He offers loads of options, parts too, and you can order directly from him like I did at https://mortoneinstruments.com/. 100% great experience.

For me though the 25.5" scale length of the MORTocello is just way too much for an OM. I have an Eastwood electric OM now and will soon be converting my MORTocello to a mandocello, which as the name suggests is really it's true calling.

Dear Admin, I realized this thread should really be under the Four, Five and Eight-String Electrics sub forum, as MORtone instruments will mostly be of interest to solid or semi-hollow body electric players (although MORtone has done occasional acoustic guitar conversions).
