another vote, Bose S1pro. easy to work, get the dedicated bose backpack, its GREAT(was $129 @ sweetwater but may be more). the backpack is well built and makes an effortless carry, the S1 fits perfect in it and more space for other things on top.
advertised as 11 hrs use on one charge and i've found this to be correct. check it out on the Bose site, lots of variable positions for it to work in-amazing tool.

Fwiw I think a mobile AC or similar, , laid face up on the floor,
was what Soloist extraordinaire, Evan J. Marshall. was using as his monitor
while playing into the house microphone..

Well .... portability implies light in weight. It may or may not imply battery powered. I have had good luck with my Fishman Loudbox. It is smapp enough to "take with you" but produces enough sound pressure to play a small room. It also doubles a monitor when you are lining out to a PA. For the battery powered amp I use a Roland Street cube 8 AA batteries last for several hours at 50 watts, if I remember correctly, with two available channels. Roland also makes a four channel micro PA the is battery powered with I thing 30 watt output. Roland and Fishman both make solid , dependable equipment. Good luck in your search. R/
I love hanging out with mandolin nerds . . . . . Thanks peeps ...
The Fishman is solidly built and sounds like a million bucks. Roland products are great as well.
I gig regularly with a Fishman Loudbox Mini (non-battery) and also have a Bose S1 Pro for certain gigs (works better with keyboards, so is useful). I really enjoy both of these amps very much. The Fishman is a touch more practical since it doubles as a DI. Plenty of times its Master Volume is OFF and it becomes a glorified mixer. Whatever works. The Bose gets a lot of use around the house as a grab-and-go sound source for anything, and is small enough to carry along to gigs just in case we need another stage wedge.
