    Default Centrum Choro Workshop

This in from Gregg Miller, the Program Manager for the Centrum Choro workshop.
Our plans for an in-person workshop April 20 – 24 are progressing full speed ahead. Registration is open.
How long has it been since you sat in the living room of a comfortable 1900s officer quarters house at beautiful Fort Worden overlooking Puget Sound and Mount Rainier and Baker, featured in the movie "Office and a Gentleman" in a roda with other players of all levels and an amazing faculty of some of the best players in the world of choro? The answer is easy—TOO LONG if not NEVER! But you can fix that. If you haven’t already registered, click here for more information including the schedule and a link to the registration page.

Al says: I have been at every workshop Centrum has held. It is always fun, and not intimidating. If you have thought about learning choro music, this is the place to do it! The late night jams here are legendary. Sitting next to Anat Cohen, Dudu, Douglas, Daniela Jovino an Alexandre is as good as it gets. We also do slow jams for the new players before the night gets going. And of course the classes all day and concerts too. Don't miss this incredibly priced workshop.

    Instructors:
    • Dudu Maia, Artistic Director and bandolim
    • Anat Cohen, clarinet
    • Daniela Spielmann, sax and flute
    • Douglas Lora, 7-string guitar
    • Jovino Santos Neto, piano (and almost anything else!)
    • Alexandre Lora, pandeiro, percussion
    Al in PT
