    Default Stefan Sobell guitar-bouzouki

My friend Niall Anderson acquired this lovely 1997 Stefan Sobell guitar-bouzouki recently, so we got together to play a few tunes and see how it sounds, along with my older Sobells.

It's a camera mike, so suitably average, and we didn't rehearse or anything, just had a bit of post pandemic musical fun in person.

A superb Sobell instrument, a real find for Niall.

Lovely balance between the two instruments and very fine playing, gents.

I was surprised to hear the mandolin easily holding its own with the big guitar-bouzouki. You sometimes forget how well a good wee instrument actually projects...

Hope all goes well there John!

It's partly because it's an octave higher, I think.

And Niall plays quite gently too. But that big beast can roar when driven hard. Cracking find for Niall!
