    Default Mowry F5 in action

I picked up Mowry #122 from a cafe member a couple weeks ago and I’ve really fallen for it. The low end was good as soon as I received it and the trebles have come a long way as well, probably due to climate differences and whatever else.
This is one I’ve been working on this week called Woodland Star by Andrew Marlin. It’s a fantastic melody and I’ve had a lot of fun working it out.

What a sweet sounding mandolin. And very nicely played.

Yeah that's me. I thought I was going to have to let it go due to some financial/personal reasons but I decided it was too good to not keep so it's going to stay with me. I thought I had pulled that listing, good eye.

What a beautiful sounding instrument! Even with the light touch you were using I can tell there's a whole lot of power on tap there it you lean on it. I'd say you've got a lifer there. Enjoy, may it bring you inspiration.

Very nice. I have wished time and time again I kept my #11. It was a really good mandolin.

Andrew really does not get enough press, but his mandolins are really something special. There's a great blonde F5 right now at TME right now

Very sweet sounding mandolin. Quite reminiscent of Larry Smart and Fletcher Brock's instruments (and Andrew really makes a wicked octave- they never last long, new or used when they show up for sale).

Very nice sounding mandolin. Looks good too. Glad I'm an A person or I would be in trouble.
