The OP said it had been refinished by his luthier, almost certainly the headstock too. The grain implies plywood. My 50s SOL is solid wood, round holes, logo is stencil, and probably the cheapest model, so I’m guessing this one more Kayish. Price may be optimistic, but if playable, why not?
That coin is a 1925. Old in its own right.
It's simply a standard cloud tailpiece with a coin stuck on it.
