Hi Neil, sure would like to see this proof as I believe that there was no Guido Volpe. There was, however, a Gennaro Volpe who arrived in late 1894 and astonished New York audiences with rave reviews where he claimed to play for the King of Sweden. I'll attach his debut & I have other citations that back it up. Let me know if you can copy the Bettini wording but I'm almost 100% certain, the "G" stood for "Gennaro" Volpi. As a favor, would you publish the image of Gennaro Volpe please! I’d love to see what he looked like.
