    Default Ron Cole Mandolins

I received two great mandolins from my great friend Ron Cole. He builds great mandolins and I am very happy and blessed to call these two fine mandolins mine.

Thank you sir! They are great sounding mandolins. I could not get the photos to load in the right position even after doing some editing. I will try to get the photos reposted upright instead of sideways. Lol! Ron is a first class guy and he builds a great looking and great sounding mandolin!

It had to be a great mandolin to keep it for 20 years! I am very pleased with the two I got from Ron. Incredible sounding mandolins.

What mandolin do you play now?

It wasn't bad at all and had an outstanding chop, but was not up to the build quality that Cole produced a little later in his career. Had the gorgeous quilted back that yours have. It went through The Mandolin Store last year ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XTDoZngYFk&t=5s ).

I replaced it with a 4th Gen Northfield.

Beauties both. Just wondering… do they sound differently. It is unusual to get two mandolins at the same time. Congratulations, in any case.
