Thread: 1912 Martin bowl back and case

  1. #1

Default 1912 Martin bowl back and case

I acquired this mandolin and case with some other instruments and would like to sell it but know nothing about what model it is or what to value it at.
    Any information would be appreciated.

This is one of the plainer models for which we have limited information about the specification changes from year to year.
It is closest in specs to model 00.
These are nice enough mandolins, but they are not particularly valuable. The back is in nice shape, but with the top wear I would estimate a market value of perhaps $300.

Its very nice and clean! What else did ya score on to sell? we're all curious here as always as everyone has different tastes on their favorite mandolins-instruments!

Thank you very much for the info I'll put it in the classified section.

I got a crazy Burns of London Model 503 split sound with a changed pick guard and a 30s 40's lap acoustic with some glued up back and top. 500 for the Burns and 250 for the lap probably a Harmony or Kay Click image for larger version.
