Frank, this might be (it is)a dumb question, but how do you get your backing track on your video?
Is it just playing on another device and picked up by your mike, or do you have to record it into a video app or something?
Bren
Hi Bren, Not at all! I use a Tascam DR 40X to record my backing, just as if I'm doing an overdub. Then I connect the audio out from that to my DSLR mic in-put. I then record to the Tascam live as I'm overdubbing. No post edits. I'm not that good, nor do I really care about all that. KISS. I did use to use the speaker method before this. Thanks!
Thanks Frank!
I'll have to do some more thinking about this.
I think I've got enough bits and pieces to do something like that.

Sounding great Frank!
You seem to be diggin that Northfield. Is the Pava getting jealous?

I (of course) like the NF, but I went back and listened to a couple waltzes done on the Pava, and found absolutely nothing lacking. I do [maybe] think the NF would get my vote on some of the jazzier tunes, but like the previous post(er) says, the driving, regardless of vehicle, is just dandy .

Nice playing, Frank. Did you also do the backing tracks? They were very good.
Thanks Nick. I do all the solo guitar backing, but anything like that is usually a You Tube Backing track. Thanks!
Thank- You kturley !!!! You make one post in 20 years, and it's about my tune. You have a friend for life!
Here's another Italian tune I learned from the only mandolin teacher I ever had. Thanks for the Listen!
Frank, I watch nearly every video you post on you tube. You are so skilled and have a wonderful feel for music. It is expressed so well through your hands and your beautiful instruments. Thanks for sharing your gifts!
