Default Goblin Folk 4: Walkin' Lute

This is the fourth song of my Goblin Folk project, where I use electric & acoustic mandolin family instruments to create music that feral woodland humanoids would enjoy. It's a take on Andante Lute, from Bruce Dix's arrangement. I used the Wee Beastie, my 5 string electric Sparrow mandolin, through a '62 Princeton mic'd with a Senn e906 and an AEA KU5A. First time using the ribbon on an amp, and first time using two mic's on an amp. I am quite pleased with the results.

As an honorary goblin myself, I can say with authenticity that this is very enjoyable.

Also a huge fan of your Sparrow - wish I knew that existed when I was most recently buying a new mandolin. Sounds great and looks great. CGDAE the standard tuning I assume?
Eastwood Newport Tenor, Eastwood Airline Mandola
Cozart Electric Tenor, Cozart Electric Mando
    Hora Octave, Seagull S8
    ...and maybe some other stuff...

I enjoyed that. Do you know "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict"? I'm not suggesting it as a mandolin piece, just as a listening experience.

"I never did have no trouble with him until he got big enough to be round with bigger boys and off from home. Then he used to follow all these harp blowers, mandoleen (sic) and guitar players."

    Standard tuning indeed.

Surprise! Not feedback. Well, ok, it is, but not in the guitar amp feedback sense. That's the SOMA Lyra-8 synth. You'll be hearing more of it.

I'm a hardcore Syd Barrett fan, but Roger has his moments.
