    Default NMD: Sawchyn Beavertail OM

After playing for 50 years and never suffering MAS, I caught a serious case this summer when I bought my APC mandocello. I think I reached Stage 2, and the symptom is this brand new Beavertail octave, direct from Regina via Canada Post. I think I am now in remission, but I understand from the wiser folk here that such remissions do not last.

Here are two photos. One is the Beavertail alone, and the other is my collection to date: the Beavertail, the APC, and an unidentified bowlback mandola that the experts here told me is probably German-made.

There will be a lot of practicing from now on.
